Photoshop

This week in Comm 350 we have been reviewing the Adobe computer program Photoshop. Prior to this, I have used Photoshop to create and edit images in other classes but Jason taught us some tools that I hadn't used before.

In order to prepare myself for this workshop, I began looking up Photoshop tutorials in order to effectively utilize the program. One particular website I found to be helpful is: http://www.photoshopstar.com/This website teaches you how to do several different things in Photoshop including Text effects, animations, Carpet effects, Silhouettes, etc.

Another website that helped me prepare for using photoshop to make my website was http://www.good-tutorials.com/tutorials/photoshop, this website offers tutorials on a range of topics including:
  1. Animation
  2. Photo Effects
  3. Basics
  4. Photo Retouch
  5. Buttons
  6. Scripting
  7. Color
  8. Text Effects
  9. Designing
  10. Textures
  11. Drawing
  12. Web Graphics
  13. Effects
  14. Web Layouts
I learned a lot this week about the basis's of Photoshop as our professor went through and step by step taught us how to utilize tools such as Paint bucket, Text, Layers, Selection, and more. I felt that it was very useful that he ensured each and everyone of us understood the program before moving on. I hope that you find this information as useful as I did! Here are some Youtube Videos that I came across which really break down how to use Photoshop in a very user friendly way.
